Victory or early farewell to the Final 8 of the Italian Cup. Sunday's match at the PalaSerradimigni against Pistoia (kick-off at 8 pm) is a crossroads of the season. And it is also a test of truth for coach Nenad Markovic: "I don't think about my position, it is not productive to further weigh down a very important match".
The white-blue coach underlines the signs of growth: "In the last championship matches I think we have seen an improvement, especially in defense, I hope we will see the best side against Pistoia, who has just changed coach and therefore will propose something different". The new coach of the Tuscans is an old acquaintance of the Sassari fans: Zare Markovski, Macedonian naturalized Italian who led Dinamo for two and a half seasons in A2 in the early 90s and for six games at the end of the 2017/18 championship.
The big man Renfro is ready to return, but Markovic adds: "We have some injuries. There are some small problems, we will evaluate them close to the match. The lack of concentration is our worst enemy, because only if we stay focused do we make fewer mistakes and avoid entering the spiral of frustration".
