We won't make the left's mistake in Venice, where, according to them, it would have shown how angry people were with Meloni. And yet, we won." "We're committed to the local elections," he clarifies, "to solving the cities' problems and to providing the necessary contribution to citizens without seeking political gain."

On Paolo Truzzu's defeat two years ago in the regional elections: "He wasn't the wrong horse. He did well as mayor, in my opinion, but the results of his work will be seen over time. At the time, perhaps the choice wasn't strategic because the benefits of his work in Cagliari weren't yet apparent."
