Sassari, at the Department of History the screening of the documentary "Fertilia istriana"

The appointment is for tomorrow at 10 at the Aula Magna of the Dissuf, the Department of History, Human Sciences and Education of the University of Sassari, in via Zanfarino 62 in Sassari. On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance , the Laboratory of Visual Anthropology "Fiorenzo Serra" of the Società Umanitaria, in collaboration with the Dissuf and the Margherita High School of Castelvì di Sassari, promotes the screening of the docu-film "Fertilia Istriana" , with the aim of preserving and renewing the memory of the tragedy of the Italians and of all the victims of the foibe and the exodus of the Istrians, Fiume and Dalmatians.

Fertilia , a city of foundation, welcomed many people in the post-war period, involved in the Julian-Dalmatian exodus, who contributed to the growth and progress of the village a few steps from the glittering Alghero. The documentary "Fertilia istriana" reconnects the threads of memory, telling the heartbreaking and still little-known story of the exiles, through the testimonies of the protagonists who experienced first-hand the tragedy of the exodus from their homelands.

The speakers are the director Cristina Mantis, the screenwriter Daniela Piu, the director of the Margherita High School of Castelvì Prof. Gianfranco Strinna, and the archivist Dr. Stefano Alberto Tedde.
