"Mille culure - Omaggio a Pino Daniele" is the grand closing of the World Music Festival organized by the Cooperativa teatro e/o Musica. The event is scheduled for Saturday in Sassari in Piazza Moretti at 9:30 pm with Anna Maria Castelli, a singer and actress of Neapolitan origins, who will retrace the career (especially through songs in dialect) of an artist who is a symbol of Naples, a city full of light and shadow, emotion and suffering, colors and scents, and its people.
Anna Maria Castelli will be accompanied by Adriàn Fioramonti on guitar, Vittorio Fioramonti on double bass and Stefano Rapicavoli on drums .
Born in Milan but of Neapolitan origins, "singer-actress" Anna Maria Castelli is no stranger to paying homage to great Italian artists. She's fresh off the success of "Cosa sono le nuvole ," dedicated to Domenico Modugno, and has repeatedly reinterpreted Giorgio Gaber's classics in the past. She has collaborated with leading Italian musicians, including Giorgio Gaslini, Gianni Coscia, and Renato Sellani in jazz, the Ensemble dei Virtuosi Italiani with its homage to French song icon Edith Piaf, and Oscar-winning tango artist Luis Bacalov.
