"We are all aware of the difficulty of the moment - says the mayor and president of the Foundation, Andrea Lutzu -, the evolution of the pandemic every day brings us back to an extremely critical condition for the number of infections, for that of deaths, for the suffering of the health system. For this reason, with great regret, we understand that it will not be possible to propose a Sartiglia as the centuries-old tradition has handed down to us ". "However, we believe - he adds - that, if the health situation does not undergo a negative evolution, the conditions are in place for us to be able to propose to the city a program which, respecting safety standards, will allow for a renewal of the appointment with tradition".
