Sarroch: “Open Monuments” returns after sixteen years

Everything is ready for the XXVIII edition of Open Monuments : on Saturday and Sunday, Sarroch will showcase some of the cultural places that are part of the country's history.
The last time Sarroch took part in the event was in 2008 : this year it will be possible to visit Villa Siotto, the nuraghe Sa Domu and s'Orku, and the small church of Santa Vittoria.
The ancient residence which overlooks the church square will be open to visitors on Saturday from 4pm to 8pm, and on Sunday from 10am to 1pm and from 4pm to 8pm: volunteers from the Memorias cultural association will guide guests in discovering the villa, to book you can contact the number 348 264 1097. Same visiting hours for the nuraghe and the church, where it will not be necessary to book entry: Arkèo aps volunteers will accompany the visitors.
Gianluca Caboni , municipal councilor with responsibility for Tourism, underlines the importance of the return of Open Monuments to Sarroch after sixteen years : «Participating in this event is a great opportunity for us, through guided tours we will be able to make our territory and its monuments known . This country not only has an important history and industrial footprint, but also has a cultural, naturalistic and archaeological heritage waiting to be discovered."
