He is a champion of the noble art of karate. He won gold at the Berlin Open, at the 2021 International Banzai Cup just held.
It is Enrico Mariolu, born in 1976: «My father is from Santadi and I am very attached to my homeland - says Enrico - it is no coincidence that I married a woman from Sulcis, from Perdaxius. We have a five year old boy, Edoardo, who inherited my passion for karate. Among other things, I followed the preparation for the Berlin Open entirely in Sardinia, between Perdaxius and Sant'Anna Arresi ». Enrico lives in Lombardy where he serves in the Milan Local Police, dealing with trade and militating in the sports group of the body. His karate career began in 1986 in a small sports club in Lodi, then he collaborated with the Ronin Kai club in Verona. A career characterized by training with top-notch athletes such as Rika Usami, Antonio Diaz and Sandra Sanchez. The first important result comes with the victory of the National Masters Championship 2016. Bronze, silver and gold medals in the most important international competitions follow, as well as the entry into the Inoue-Ha Shito-Ryu, a prestigious organization rooted in Japan. "I expect to end my competitive career - he declares - in the summer of 2022 in Japan, when I will participate in the Masters World Championship".
