During the Vertical Blue 2025, the most prestigious event with the best freedivers from all over the world that has been held since 2008 in Dean's Blue Hole, in the Bahamas (the deepest point in the world), Davide Carrera, athlete of the Sinnai Sub Club, yesterday, 5 July 2025, set the new Italian record for freediving with fins in constant weight with an incredible dive to -114 metres.
Great self-control for Carrera, obtained with maturity and experience in a discipline that has seen him engaged since he was very young with the determination and energy of a champion. In a world that often focuses on records and cynicism, «Davide Carrera reminds us that freediving is about the pure joy of embracing the depths of the ocean, transcending limits and connecting with the sea on a profound level».
Great satisfaction among the members of Sub Sinnai who support him and remember the next appointment with the "Italian Outdoor Apnea Championship" next July 19-20 in Riva del Garda where Davide will try to surpass himself in his current Italian records in fresh water. "A great satisfaction for us too - says Paride Cardia, president of Sub Sinnai - An extraordinary athlete who manages to surpass himself with increasingly extraordinary results".
