Among the protagonists of the International Wine Expo in Chicago there will also be Sardinia with its cellars. The review, organized in collaboration with Vinitaly, is scheduled for 22 and 23 October and represents an opportunity for the island's companies to strengthen their presence on the market, increase their customers and identify new distributors in countries where they are still present.

«I believe that this project is essential to allow awareness of our excellent wine production in the United States - underlined the Councilor for Agriculture, Valeria Satta -, both in terms of a further promotion opportunity for already known wineries and for the opportunity to introduce other wineries that have not had the opportunity to do so to date».

The councilorship will participate in the appointment with a "Sardinia collective", made up of ten Sardinian wineries, and the event will be preceded by an inaugural event on October 21, open only to commercial operators, importers, distributors and buyers from Chicago and the Midwest USA and the rest of the United States. The participation of over three hundred buyers is expected. The US market is confirmed as the main market for the consumption of Italian wines.

"Our territory - the commissioner said - has a great biodiversity and a heritage of native vines that allow Sardinia to produce often niche products that are increasingly conquering international markets".
