Northern Sardinian wine speaks Danish and aims to become the new benchmark for Northern European wines. The trade mission of Promocamera Sassari to Copenhagen concluded with record numbers, where 15 of the region's top wineries met with over 80 Scandinavian importers, distributors, and wine professionals.

The choice of Denmark was no coincidence: unlike other Northern European neighbors, the Danish market is not regulated by state monopolies. This technical detail makes it a strategic hub and a gateway to the whole of Scandinavia for companies focusing on quality and traceability.

Within the prestigious "A Glass of Italy" showcase, Sardinian labels were the focus of intense B2B activity and walk-around tastings . The masterclasses dedicated to Vermentino attracted great interest, where professional sommeliers explained to a select audience why Sardinia's DOC and DOCG denominations are among the most dynamic and interesting on the international scene today.

Leading the delegation was Promocamera Sassari President Maria Amelia Lai : "We returned from Copenhagen with one certainty: the Danish market is thirsty for Sardinia. Buyers aren't just looking for a quality product, but a story to tell, and our wineries have been extraordinary in conveying the value of our grape varieties and our territories."

The initiative is part of the broader "SEI – Support for the Export of Italian Companies" project, through which Promocamera continues to provide training, direct assistance, and preferential channels for Sardinian companies wishing to challenge global markets.
