Sardinian historical carnivals at the top for the Ministry of Culture: Sartiglia first, Mamoiada second
The recognition of the MiC: third is that of Viareggio, the Tempio carnival is also eligible for funding

Sardinian historical carnivals at the top for the Ministry of Culture .
The best in the MiC ranking relating to the tender for the financing of historical carnivals is in fact the Sartiglia di Oristano . In its reference range (carnivals less than 500 years old) it obtained 93 points and a contribution of 76,405 euros . In second place the Mamoiada carnival , in third place that of Viareggio.
«A significant contribution, obtained as a result of the high score awarded to the project developed by our offices, which turned out to be the best among all those in the category it belongs to», explains the president of the Oristano Foundation Carlo Cuccu , specifying that the contribution is relative at Sartiglia 2023. «A first place which is a source of great satisfaction, also because we precede well-known carnivals such as those of Viareggio Acireale, Sciacca, Ivrea and Sanremo . Last year too we came first but we were awarded 24 thousand euros."
There are 48 historic carnivals financed by the ministry through the Single Entertainment Fund. The other two Sardinians eligible for the contribution are that of Mamoiada (24 thousand euros) and that of Tempio (50,115 euros) .
