The special statute regions demand more autonomy with a document delivered to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The presidents Christian Solinas, Massimiliano Fedriga, Renzo Testolin, Arno Kompatcher and Maurizio Fugatti, on the occasion of the Festival of the Regions, shared a draft amendment to the statutes with the Prime Minister.
«A big step forward towards the full recognition of a strong and decisive autonomy for the future of Sardinia», said Solinas
The need for a contextual path of strengthening the specialty with respect to the new spaces of differentiated autonomy requested by numerous regions with ordinary statute was reiterated.
Among the most important points, we read in a note from Villa Devoto, «the introduction of the protection of the Sardinian language and culture as a statutory competence, the equalization of Sardinian to Italian on the regional territory, the recognition of competence in matters of protection landscape, environmental and natural beauty; of maritime state property, of cultural heritage, of the organization of administrative and health bodies, of offices and personnel, also from a contractual point of view".
