Daniela Ducato is no longer president of the WWF. The Sardinian entrepreneur, less than two months after her appointment , left her position for "personal and non-delegable" reasons, she wrote in a note in which she adds: "It was a short journey but I hope that the seeds of my contribution can be a breeding ground. I proposed the introduction of the sustainability report so that the founding values such as the protection of nature are translated into consistency, for example in the supply chain, in the choice of partners, in merchandising. This non-financial statement could be so evolved as to become a replicable best practice not only in the third sector but also in companies and organizations. The WWF has all the credentials to be a forerunner and a leading example of this pragmatism that is needed today to face the emergencies we face. I express deep gratitude to associations, companies, professional associations, organizations and institutions that I have known and with which a fruitful collaboration and a sometimes surprising understanding have been established immediately. For me, always engaged in free volunteering in the social, cultural and environmental fields, it is further confirmation of how the economy of the relationship is the basis of any innovation and a mentality of peace. I thank and embrace the WWF membership base, with immense gratitude for those who supported me by voting for me throughout Italy ”.

The National Council, which thanked Ducato, appointed Luciano Di Tizio , current vice president, in his place.
