The world of Sardinian cinema is mourning the death of Peppeddu Cuccu , the famous face of the film " Banditi a Orgosolo ", by Vittorio de Seta.
Having become an actor by chance, he was 76 years old . His adventure in the world of film sets began very early, when he was just a child. The director and screenwriter from Palermo chose it for his film, which later became a cult on the Italian scene, after some inspections in Barbagia.
The feature film won the first film award at the Venice International Film Festival in 1961 and then the Nastro d'argento for best black and white photography in 1962. Peppeddu, after Banditi a Orgosolo, returned to the set with the director Salvatore Mereu, acting in three of his films.
