The ENAC inspectors and the officials of the Ministry of Economy and Finance want to see clearly the procedure that could lead to the privatization of Sogaer and the marriage with the other two airports in Northern Sardinia.

They will arrive in Cagliari on Wednesday morning.

The inspection will have a broad spectrum. The professionals will collect all the documents useful for "ascertaining the regularity of the economic-financial and managerial situation" and the "correct fulfillment of the contractual obligations deriving from the concession relationship". The examination, which will probably keep the offices busy for several days, will be completed by the ENAC statutory auditor and by the manager of the general inspectorate of public finance inspection services of the State Accounting Office.

An attempt will probably be made to reconstruct the steps of the "due diligence" - the preparatory documents for a negotiation - concerning Sogaer and F2i, the investment fund that aims to control the Cagliari airport. The fund, which already owns the majority of Geasar (Olbia) and Sogeaal (Alghero) was defined in the latest balance sheet of Sogaer as an «infungible partner», ie irreplaceable. In short: the only candidate for a privatization which according to some authoritative jurists should instead follow a public path.

But it is not excluded that the viewfinder is also on other documents. Such as an assessment of the airport.
