Level zero. Water runs out. Literally. Sardinia needs rain, otherwise it will be a difficult autumn for household consumption, not just agriculture, which is notoriously the first to pay the price of drought: water supplies are being cut, starting in the countryside, to avoid leaving household taps dry. But in the coming months, this may no longer be the case.

The September data are shocking. As of September 26th, the Sassari area's extreme thirst corresponds to the zero level of the Bidighinzu, while the Cuga basin is barely above 4% of its capacity. The southwest hydrographic area is no better.
