He was zigzagging along the 131, making sudden lane changes, accelerating sharply, and braking, attracting the attention of the Flying Squad officers. A pursuit ensued, leading to the arrest of a man already known to law enforcement, who was found in possession of 65 grams of cocaine . While attempting to escape, he threw the drugs out of the car window but was quickly recovered by officers.

According to the State Police's reconstruction, the incident occurred in the late afternoon a few days ago. The man, driving his car toward Cagliari, was spotted and followed by officers until the Olbia exit. From there, he took state highway 729, sparking a chase that ended between kilometer markers 7 and 8.

Upon seeing the stop sign, the driver attempted a sudden maneuver to flee but was stopped by other patrols present on the scene. The driver then threw a white package containing cocaine out the window, which was immediately recovered . Forensic analysis confirmed the contents: approximately 65 grams.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the man was already known to law enforcement for drug-related offenses and had been released from prison last January after a conviction for similar offenses. He was taken to the police station and subjected to a personal search: he had approximately €600 in cash on him, which officers believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. The search of his home also revealed two precision scales. The man was arrested for possession with intent to deal and is now under house arrest.
