An increasingly heated argument culminated in an attempted assault on two women. Then came insults towards the Carabinieri. It was a tense Friday evening in Zerfaliu, where a 38-year-old man was eventually arrested.

According to an initial reconstruction, the man showed up at his sick mother's house late on Friday evening.

He would have had a   very heated discussion with the sister and the carer, who looks after the elderly woman.

It's still unclear what happened, and investigations are underway to reconstruct the eventful evening. The man was clearly very excited and had a threatening demeanor, so much so that the two women feared the situation might escalate and called for help.

The Carabinieri arrived on the scene within minutes, but the man was very agitated and even shouted at the officers. Eventually, he was arrested.
