A reflection on fundamental rights, on changes to the Constitution, on respect for all living organisms: this is what we read in the book "La Costituzione degli alberi" (Sinnos), by Valeria Cigliola and Elisabetta Morosini with illustrations by Irene Penazzi.
It will be presented on Saturday, October 25th, by Roberta Balestrucci in Zeddiani, during a workshop for young readers, but also open to adults. The meeting, which will be held at 4:00 PM in the Sebastiano Satta municipal library, is organized by Liberos as part of the Éntula festival, with the support of the Zeddiani Municipal Department of Culture. The book tells the story of an oak tree that adorns the neighborhood but which the municipality wants to cut down. That's why Sow, Anna, Luisa, Jeanne, and others are studying how to save it. They consult books and experts.
And they discover that environmental protection has been included among the fundamental principles of the Constitution. "Because the Constitution is like a tree that must grow," say the organizers, "expand, change, for everyone to thrive. All together." This key event of the festival, also supported by the Region, is presented by Roberta Balestrucci, an employee at the Macomer Cultural Services Center, who is always busy organizing events, seminars and training for adults, school workshops, and reading education and promotion for children.
