There were moments of fear this late morning along Provincial Road 9 leading to Zeddiani. A minibus, used to transport disabled people, veered off the road on a straight stretch for reasons currently under investigation. The vehicle, carrying four volunteers from the Garibaldini Association, ended up in a ditch and overturned on its side.
The volunteers themselves raised the alarm: the Oristano fire brigade responded to the scene and helped the driver and another colleague get out of the vehicle, where they had become trapped.
The two injured people were then handed over to 118 emergency personnel and, after receiving initial treatment, were taken to the San Martino Emergency Room for further assessment. The other two volunteers traveling in the van were not injured.
