A worker working on a construction site in Olbia-Nuoro was hit by a motorist who then drove away without providing help. It happened on Monday afternoon on a stretch of the Ss 131 Dcn between Budoni and Posada.

The worker was taken care of by 118 staff with serious injuries and trauma. The condition of the injured man required an immediate transfer to hospital.

Officers from the Siniscola Traffic Police Detachment intervened on site. The search for the person responsible for the accident is underway and, according to what the doctors have ascertained, the victim is not in danger of life.

The worker was placing some signs and the construction site was regularly marked. A motorist crashed into the area affected by the works and hit the operator who was unable to do anything to avoid the impact. The car would have been caught by a camera.
