The events occurred in May 2022 , the construction site is the one opened inside the Cervo Tennis Club for the renovation of the premises intended to house the five-star Zuma restaurant (a luxury Japanese chain present in the main cities of the world). A worker, Pietro Sanna , from Sorso, falls from scaffolding and is transferred to hospital (fractured pelvis, fractured scapula, multiple rib fractures and polytrauma).
The episode at the center of the trial opened in Tempio for the hypothesis of injuries as a consequence of the alleged failure to adopt accident prevention measures and lack of staff training. The accusations of the prosecutor Giannmarco Vargiu are, in different capacities, for the Nulvi contractor, Davide Nieddu, the victim's employer (subcontractor of some interventions), the site manager, the Olbia native Danilo Cannas and the entrepreneur Massimo Azzena, legal representative of the restructuring lead company (defended by lawyers Giancarlo Frongia and Jacopo Merlini). Azzena is also municipal councilor for Public Works of the Municipality of Arzachena.
According to the Tempio Prosecutor's Office and the Spresal staff (labor inspectors of the Olbia Local Health Authority) the worker Pietro Sanna fell from a scaffolding, during the renovation work of the five-star restaurant, because he was carrying out an operation without "l 'special pulley'.
