It is only a respite granted by the wind in these hours, after the gusts with regime up to storm that have hit in recent days, especially on central-northern Sardinia.
The Civil Protection warns that "from the central hours of tomorrow (Tuesday 14 March) the transit of an Atlantic trough from France towards the east will determine the cyclogenesis of a minimum pressure downwind of the Alpine arc and centered on the Ligurian gulf".
Consequently "the high pressure gradient at sea level will gradually intensify the winds up to storms, from west north-west, on the seas surrounding Sardinia and its northern coasts". The mistral will blow hard for about 24 hours.
The areas most affected will be that of Gallura and the eastern ridges.
