A family of wild boars roaming undisturbed among public flowerbeds and private gardens: the animals, both adults and cubs, were captured last night at sunset in Cannigione. A scene that repeats itself in many towns in Gallura, including Olbia, and which ceases to be merely curious and becomes alarming when the animals suddenly cross the road or a female with her cubs feels threatened by an unexpected encounter. In Cannigione itself this summer, tragedy almost occurred when two young women on a scooter struck a large wild boar and were injured.
