On the island of Spargi there are wild boars , boldly circulating even on the beaches and fearlessly protagonists in the theft of bathers' bags, handbags and backpacks. This is documented by videos and photos released on the web in recent days. And this also raises concerns for people's safety.

« This is a problem for which the National Park has no competence », states the director, Giulio Plastina . «I am aware of the fact that there is a critical issue there but we as a Park operate within the Plan, approved by all the bodies, for the eradication of wild boar; in this case it is the mayor, if he believes it is a situation of public safety, who will have to publish an ordinance providing for the methods of intervention. In this case the Park, faced with a request for collaboration, would be fully available".

What didn't work in Spargi this winter, as part of the eradication plan, were the rifle interventions of the Selecontrollori.

In fact, the operations led to the killing of only one specimen.

At the moment it is unknown how many wild boars may be circulating on that island, which in the past had disappeared and then reappeared. Some say they crossed the sea but it is more plausible, according to experts, that they were brought back there by someone. And these are the consequences.
