Firefighters fighting the flames from 10pm last night in Elmas.

A fire with several fronts broke out in Terrasili .

The flames, which involved a reed bed and brushwood, threaten the nearby agricultural greenhouses.

The firefighters intervened with three vehicles and the extinguishing operations are particularly difficult due to the inaccessible area and the marshy terrain. Also on site was a Forestry helicopter departing from the base in Pula.

The firefighters have deployed to protect some threatened agricultural greenhouses and the animals found in some nearby land.
