Five people, including a young girl, were rescued by the Oristano Coast Guard in the sea off Pistis, in the Arbus area.

The family was aboard a small 6-meter pleasure craft when the weather and sea conditions suddenly worsened, making navigation difficult.

The vessel then sent out a distress call to 1530, and a patrol boat from the Oristano Port Authority, a naval unit specializing in search and rescue operations at sea, arrived on the scene.

Upon reaching the vessel in distress, the Coast Guard initially confirmed the boaters' good health, with the little girl having begun to suffer the first symptoms of motion sickness. The little girl and two other people were transferred to the patrol boat, while the driver and another person remained on the vessel and were escorted to safety by the patrol boat until it docked in the small port of Marceddì.

Here the little girl and two other people were entrusted to the care of medical personnel.
