«The water crisis in Baronia is worsening day by day without immediate and effective solutions being adopted». The new alarm on the topic of drought which sees the provisions on restrictions in the use of water already implemented, comes from Giorgio Fresu, minority councilor in Posada, through a series of proposals and requests to the Region so that the Municipalities evaluate new opportunities.

«The countryside is suffering and there is a risk of a real massacre for farmers and breeders – explains Fresu -. An emergency of this magnitude cannot be addressed with just tankers and a few wells. Soon, barring meteorological miracles, the Maccheronis dam will turn into sludge which will also make drinking water difficult. I propose to draw water, which is also spring water, from the disused quarries of Buddusò and Alà dei Sardi, which contain millions of cubic meters of water. These resources, with a simple intervention, could be poured towards the river that feeds the Rio Posada, to conclude the race in the Maccheronis dam".

Already in the next few hours, according to Fresu, "it is necessary to activate a table with the administrations, and the Region as far as it is concerned, and evaluate this opportunity".
