Emergency in Nuorese and in particular in Baronia due to the wave of bad weather that is lashing Sardinia.
In Siniscola a "water bomb" hit the hamlet of La Caletta, where there were flooding in the houses and heavy traffic problems, with the roads turning into rivers. Given the situation, the schools have been closed.
Dangers and inconveniences also in Posada and Torpè: the mayors of the two villages, Salvatore Ruiu and Martino Sanna, have given the alarm to the population, especially that of the countryside with sirens and text messages for the flow of the Maccheronis dam which continues to rise and is pouring into the Rio Posada.
The water had already flooded from the dam in 2013, with the tragic passage of cyclone Cleopatra, causing the death of an aziana, trapped by water in the house, and 500 displaced.
"The moment is complicated - explained the mayor of Siniscola Gian Luigi Farris - in 60 years of age I had never seen such a situation. It has been raining incessantly for days, the ground is saturated and cannot absorb the water that overflows. from all sides. We have activated the Coc and we are in contact with the Prefecture. For now there are no problems to the people, some of whom have been made safe while waiting for their houses to be freed from the water ".
Dozens of interventions in the area by the civil protection teams, firefighters, barraccelli, forestry, Police and Carabinieri.
