Bad weather does not seem to give the island a break, with Barbagia and Ogliastra affected in several places by various rainfalls, especially in the afternoon.

In Fonni, around 4.30 pm a violent hailstorm caused various inconveniences to the population, who found themselves facing main roads and the historic center literally invaded by a river of water and mud.

Emblematic are the videos of the Canìo district and of the bars near Piazza Europa and in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, circulated on the net in just a few minutes.

In the meantime, while the fury of nature seems to have subsided, the first damage count is also being made in the countryside, where there are several sheepfolds and farms.

«We are taking action with the Civil Protection to verify the situation inside and outside the town. For us it is a day of celebration with the procession of the Martyrs which should take place in the evening. We just have to hope for no damage to the population and for the correct continuation of the celebrations ", declares the mayor Daniela Falconi, contacted by telephone.

Yet another example of an unstable climate, with a summer at the starting line with an autumn flavour.
