“Use it less, use it better”. The perfect slogan to introduce the awareness campaign “Every Drop Counts” conceived by Egas (Government Body of the Sardinia Area) and created by the communications agency Relive. A project to “educate” Sardinians to use water consciously, an increasingly precious resource in these years of climate crisis, and for this reason to be used wisely, especially by the younger generations who in a not too distant future could face more frequent water emergencies.
The goal set by Egas for the next few years is certainly not simple, but it is within reach: reducing waste by 20%.
"Only through daily and shared commitment will it be possible to preserve an essential resource like water, which is not infinite and cannot be taken for granted", say the president and general director of Egas, Fabio Albieri and Maurizio Meloni. "We can no longer postpone. It is time for the governance of the water system to be accompanied by a true culture of water, which becomes a common heritage. This campaign is not just an information initiative, but a political and civil act: it serves to build a more aware, more cohesive Sardinia, and one that is more capable of responding to the challenges of climate change. Only an alliance between institutions, citizens and businesses can guarantee the protection of a resource that belongs to everyone, and for which we are all responsible".
