Following a meeting between the Union of Meilogu Municipalities, the mayors of Banari, Bessude, Bonnanaro, Borutta, Cheremule, Cossoine, Giave, Siligo, Thiesi, and Torralba, and the contractor Formula Ambiente Spa, joint measures were adopted to address the regional emergency regarding plastic collection.
Starting Saturday, December 6th, and until further notice, all users in the affected municipalities must separate plastic and aluminum (cans) from each other. Aluminum will be disposed of together with glass, following the existing schedule, which remains unchanged.
For municipalities where glass collection is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, December 4th, residents can already dispose of glass and aluminum together. Plastic not collected last week can only be collected if separated from the aluminum, in accordance with the new regulations.
In the municipalities of Bonorva, Pozzomaggiore, and Semestene—where the service is managed by Ciclat—no changes to waste collection methods are currently planned. Any future changes will be communicated promptly.
