The University Hospital of Cagliari in aid of the populations affected by the war in Ukraine.

At the request of the Regional Health Department, the company asked the Pharmacy Service to prepare a list of drugs to be sent to deal with the health crisis and the request for humanitarian assistance.

“It is our duty to help the populations affected by the war - says Chiara Seazzu, director general of the Aou of Cagliari - it is a tragedy that cannot leave us indifferent. This is why we immediately responded positively to the Department's request ".

The Ministry of Health, in recent days, sent a note explaining that following the evolution of the situation in Ukraine, a meeting was held with the Health Security Committee / HERA Board on the request for humanitarian assistance. The possible needs of neighboring countries in relation to migratory phenomena were also highlighted.

The Commission has strongly emphasized the need for aid to have a well-defined and single channel, represented by DG ECHO (Directorate General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations) and by the European Civil Protection Mechanism.
