The war between the US and Iran , which has led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz , stranding thousands of oil tankers, is raising concerns about gasoline and diesel supplies. And prices have begun to skyrocket, with the increases even being felt in Sardinia.
On the 131, for example, diesel is now soaring toward 2 euros. In Muros, just outside Sassari, the highest price is 1.949 per liter. The situation is also emblematic of what's happening at gas stations where price increases have been recorded that are still considered "acceptable." Such is the case at the Predda Niedda gas station, just outside Sassari: there are very long lines to fill up at 1.808 euros per liter, a price that until yesterday would have been considered "crazy."
