Another evening of music on the program of the Voices of Europe Festival. This evening it will be the Littu Park of Santa Maria Coghinas, at 20, to frame the melodies of the Festival. Two male groups will celebrate the Sardinian choral tradition: the Amici del canto Sardo choir from Sassari and the Voches 'e Ammentos choir from Galtellì. On Friday 8th at 9 pm the Tölzer Knabenchor directed by Marco Barbon will bring its distinctive trait to the altar of the basilica in Porto Torres: the search for the original sound. The choir, in fact, is one of the few vocal groups in the world able to treat the sacred music of the Baroque and Classicism in a sound form suitable for those times. On the occasion of Voci d'Europa, the formation will propose a repertoire of pieces by Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Mozart and Orff.
Immediately afterwards, the Orientis Partibus, medieval and Renaissance music ensemble from Assisi, will perform with the Turritano Polyphonic Choir the staging of part of the wonderful repertoire coming from the Benedictine Monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat. Saturday 9, again at 21, the Hic et Nunc choir from Cagliari will open the evening directed by Tobia Tuveri with a repertoire from the Renaissance to Romanticism.
Following this, the Tölzer Knabenchor will represent its most popular soul with the triptych Europäische Volkslieder, Deutsche Volkslieder and Alpenländisches Volkslieder, while the Orientis Partibus ensemble will propose an instrumental repertoire made up of ballads, madrigals and dances from the Italian Ars Nova. On Sunday 10 another splendid monument in Northern Sardinia, the Abbey of San Pietro di Sorres in Borutta, will welcome some of the Voci d'Europa choirs: in the morning there will be a seminar held by maestro Vladimiro Vagnetti, while from 12 Orientis Partibus will perform and Hic et Nunc. The Festival is organized by the Coro Polifonico Turritano association under the artistic direction of maestro Laura Lambroni.
