Over sixty interventions were carried out by the firefighters of the Sassari command due to the strong disturbance that hit northern Sardinia yesterday evening.

Gusts of wind exceeding 100 kilometers per hour were recorded. Trees felled, poles and signs uprooted, damage to building elements such as cornices and roofs: these are the main interventions for which all the operational teams of the province were engaged.

The greatest damage was in Gallura: in Olbia, in addition to two city teams, reinforcements arrived from the headquarters in Sassari and from Arzachena. In Mores, instead, in the Sassarese area, some trees fell on the 131 .

Widespread rain also in the rest of the island, but no particular damage has been reported.

Today, however, isolated precipitation is expected, even in the form of showers or thunderstorms, with weak cumulatives in the first part of the day. Attenuation of the phenomena expected in the afternoon.

Temperatures will drop significantly, also thanks to the arrival of the mistral, which will strengthen in the afternoon.
