The two suspects in a robbery that took place on Saturday afternoon on the busy Porto Rotondo waterfront were identified and arrested in less than 24 hours: the victim was approached and a watch worth €100,000 was snatched from his wrist.

The evidence gathered in the hours immediately following the attack allowed the Carabinieri of the Olbia territorial unit to identify and track down the two robbers, both already known for specific criminal convictions. They were ready to flee to France, where they live.

When they were stopped, the two attempted to evade the officers, struggling to get away and subsequently providing false information. However, they were apprehended and transferred to Bancali prison.
