Two new works, signed by Manu Invisible and Pils , which transform Villaspeciosa into the capital of Sardinian street art by right.

In fact, the 5 murals already present in the town are joined today by the new creations, presented in the presence of the mayor of Villaspeciosa, Gianluca Melis, of the pupils of the middle schools of the town and of the mayors of Decimoputzu, Antonino Munzittu, Vallermosa, Francesco Spiga, and of the Mayor of Siliqua, Francesca Atzori.
For Manu Invisible an 80 square meter mural entitled "Salvation" , with the aim of making motorists aware of the importance of respecting the speed limits within the inhabited center .
In fact, the huge image created has the face of Soteria , the Greek goddess of salvation, surrounded by a "halo" depicting the sign with a speed limit of 30 kilometers per hour, the body of a mannequin used in crash tests, which hand a car and wrapped in red and white tape used by the police to delimit the places of road accidents. So camping on the wall is the painting of a speed camera , also in this case an invitation to motorists to respect the rules of the highway code to allow citizens to experience the country in safety.

More linked to the local tradition, however, is the work of Pils , which graphically made concrete, through a mural of 40 square meters, the rites and celebrations of the Festa di San Platano di Villaspeciosa . The latter work was also carried out thanks to funding from the Union of Municipalities "Monte Idda and Fanaris" under the "Living the Earth" program, and co-financed by the Fondazione di Sardegna.
"On the part of the city administration there is a strong conviction in the enhancement of the town, also from an artistic point of view, to exploit the murals at a communicative level and at the level of attraction " commented the mayor of Villaspeciosa, Gianluca Melis . "Already two years ago - he continued - we decided to undertake a work of embellishment of the country that concerned both the walls of municipal property and private ones". «In the last 7 months, for this - the conclusion - we have commissioned two works: the first, created by Pils, is dedicated to the tradition of our center, with the representation of the most important festival for the Speciosesi; for the second, we contacted Manu Invisible to create a work that had the theme of speed within the inhabited center and he thought of creating the mural with the Goddess of Salvation».
If the masked artist Manu Invisibile is well known internationally for his works, created on public buildings, in private ones and along the road infrastructures scattered throughout the island, less known is the professional career of Pils, stage name of David Pilloni .
Born in Cagliari in 1985, where he studied at the art school, he then attended the academy of fine arts in
Bologna studying painting. The return to the island in 2012, where he has already created numerous murals. Pils does not stick to a specific pictorial vein and prefers the creation of ever-changing works, having fun with the novelties that chance offers him and with the ultimate goal of creating something beautiful from which one can derive visual enjoyment.
