The committee for the bridge between Villaputzu and Muravera continues unabated. In recent days, the board of directors was renewed in preparation for (possible) new battles to ensure that Sarrabus does not remain isolated . Antonio Congiu was confirmed as president, with Andrea Simbula as vice president. New members include Maria Cesarina Cireddu (secretary), Renato Utzeri, and Cristian Camboni. Antonio Floris (treasurer) and Susanna Loi were confirmed.

"With the new board," the president emphasizes, "the committee speaks even more Sarrabese; in fact, we have members from Villaputzu, San Vito, and Muravera." These days, close attention has been focused on the developments surrounding the Metropolitan City's revocation of the Sicilian company (Cantieri Edili Srl) that was supposed to renovate the bridge: "We hope," Congiu adds, "that the process will be swift and that the second-placed company can take over, without having to wait for a new tender."

Meanwhile , the countdown continues for the bridge's closure : in a few weeks, the counter (placed by the same committee at the construction site entrance) will mark 900 days . For over two years, residents have been forced to cross a dirt ford built thanks to the Municipality of Villaputzu (even though it wasn't under its jurisdiction).
