On Saturday, September 20, thanks to the availability of Professor Raimondo Secci of the University of Bologna and his team, who have supervised the excavations so far, it will once again be possible to visit the archaeological site of Sarcapos, in the Eringiana area, guided by the excavation's protagonists.

A unique opportunity to learn about the results achieved so far.

The guided tour will last approximately one hour and can be held, by reservation only, in five shifts: 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm, and 6:30 pm. Places are limited.

The excavations are located in Santa Maria a Villaputzu.

During the annual campaign, usually in September, the site can be visited with guided tours led by the archaeologists themselves. Sarcapos is a Phoenician-Punic center. Excavations have confirmed the presence of a settlement and buried buildings in the Sarcapos area, a center that played an important role in the local economy and is thought to have covered approximately five hectares. The excavations aim to uncover the secrets of this ancient city, which appears to have been abandoned around 700-800 AD.
