LTE-5G interference with television reception is causing disruption in the town of Villanova Monteleone. Mayor Quirico Meloni has sent a letter to the relevant Ministry. Several residents have reported significant difficulties with TV reception in recent days, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours , making it impossible to watch various television programs on both RAI and national and regional private broadcasters.

This criticality is generating dissatisfaction and protests among many residents who, suddenly, find themselves excluded from the right to television service. The problem appears to be caused by LTE/5G interference following the installation and/or upgrade of LTE/5G systems, authorized by the relevant ministerial offices, installed in various areas of the municipality, particularly in Bena Longa and Sa Serra, by various telephone and internet providers, such as Win 3, Vodafone, TIM, and Zefiro Net.

The critical issue was highlighted in a letter the mayor sent to the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy - Digital Department - Department for Digital, Connectivity and New Technologies, requesting intervention to resolve the problem. Meanwhile, after consulting with an ARPAS official from the Sardinia Region, a possible home-made solution could be to place a filter component on the TV antenna, immediately before the amplifier, to shield from interference caused by the telephone carriers' LTE/5G systems. Most antenna technicians have expressed their willingness to help and may be able to resolve the issue.
