Italian economist, columnist, and politician Carlo Cottarelli returns to the island to present his latest book, "Senza giri di parole," at an event organized by the Interrios cultural association of Villanova Monteleone. The author of the new book will be a guest on Friday, March 6th at 6:00 p.m., in the parish hall.

He previously headed the IMF delegations for several European countries, including Hungary and Turkey. Carlo Cottarelli is currently director of the Observatory on Italian Public Accounts at the Catholic University of Milan, a lecturer at Bocconi University, and a columnist. A central figure in the Italian economic debate, he combines academic and research work with a strong commitment to outreach and communication, often focusing on the country's economic and fiscal challenges.

He has published numerous books, the latest of which reveals the truth about the economic and social challenges of the future. The professor will be in conversation with Davide Mosca, editor-in-chief of Olbia Notizie. In 2023, he was a guest at the Turris archaeological site in Porto Torres.
