"We are not accusing anyone, but we are asking for clarity on our father's death." Francesca Murgia is the daughter of Pier Giorgio, the 75-year-old pensioner from Villamassargia who died on March 11 in a clinic in Romagna, where he had been admitted for spinal surgery.

The complaint

"My father was supposed to have an operation to stabilize his spine," says Francesca Murgia, "he had to stay in the clinic for a week. He entered the operating room for the first time on February 15. But almost immediately he felt severe pain. Two more operations were performed later and he died during the last operation."

Two surgeons have been placed under investigation: Arnaldo Filippini and Fabio Tresoldi (defended by the lawyer Giacomo Valgimigli). The crime hypothesis is manslaughter.
