A serious accident occurred around 5:00 PM on Provincial Road 86, near the Villamassargia cemetery. Two cars, both Fiat Pandas, were driven head-on by a 47-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man.

The impact was violent and the bodywork was deformed: the driver remained trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters had to intervene to free her.

While the Carabinieri from the local station carried out surveys and managed traffic, emergency responders took care of the two injured people. According to initial information, their condition is serious but not life-threatening.

A more precise diagnosis will only be available after being transferred to the hospital.
