Tragedy struck in the late morning in the countryside of Villamassargia , where Carlo Alberto Pinna, 56 years old, deputy mayor of Masainas , died during a hunting trip.

According to initial reports, the man suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. His companions raised the alarm , immediately alerting emergency services.

While waiting for help on site, they were guided by telephone by 118 staff for resuscitation procedures, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done for Pinna.
