In the throes of alcohol fumes, they challenged each other with a metal pipe and a hoe.
Duel rustic two evenings ago in Villamar, protagonists two breeders of 56 and 58 years, the latter already known to the police.
The two first quarreled in front of the Holliwood Caffè, immediately afterwards they switched to "weapons", recovered from the hoods of their respective cars. The 56-year-old took a metal drinking tube, the 58-year-old a hoe.
It could have ended badly and for decidedly futile reasons, but luckily it went well for both of us. Taken to the hospital of San Gavino Monreale, they got away with a prognosis of 10 days each, 15 the other. Not very lucid, they failed to deliver more damaging and potentially lethal blows.
There was much talk of the event in the village, so much so that it came to the attention of the carabinieri, who heard some witnesses and recovered the images of the video surveillance cameras.
In the 58-year-old's car the hoe was found still stained with blood, while the metal tube has been lost track.
The carabinieri, having reconstructed the incident, denounced the two for aggravated injuries and for the illegal carrying of improper weapons.
