On the walls above the town, anonymous threats against two people from Villagrande. Andrea Demurtas, unemployed with a past as a worker and ex-emigrant, and Giorgio Scudu, a farmer, ended up in the crosshairs. The writings were written in blue paint on the concrete walls on the edge of the provincial road 27 which leads to the state road 389 for Nuoro. The perpetrators both threatened with death: "Curzone and Giorgio Trota you are dead", reads one of the two intimidating messages, accompanied by the inevitable crosses, which are now being investigated by the carabinieri of the Lanusei company.

The case

The writings were found at dawn on Easter. Those who wanted to deliver the intimidating message used the nicknames of the two people. The perpetrators came into action in two different points on the upper outskirts of the town, but both in the section between the crossroads at the northern entrance to the town, in the Su Lathori area, and the Santa Barbara wood.

On the walls, together with the writings, they traced the crosses with blue paint. The military, who received the report immediately, intervened on the spot to collect the elements and then send an initial report to the Public Prosecutor of Lanusei. Investigators dig into the recent past of Demurtas and Scudu to understand the alleged motive for the episode. It is probable that the recipients of the death threats have already been heard by the carabinieri to collect their testimonies.

widespread phenomenon

That of anonymous writing on the walls of the village is now a tradition in these parts. In the recent past mayors, administrators and trade unionists have been publicly threatened. The usual unknowns have reserved messages for the mayor, Alessio Seoni, both downstream of the town and in a public building in Villanova Strisaili. His predecessor, Giuseppe Loi, had also ended up in the crosshairs of the anonymous, while in September 2020, along the 389, still in the Villagrande area, intimidations had been directed at the trade unionists Bruno Olivieri and Rita Poddesu.
