A long series of alleged violations , ranging from workplace safety to fire regulations , up to construction, environmental and veterinary offenses: this is what the owner of a timber company in Villacidro is accused of following several checks carried out by the Carabinieri, firefighters, local police and the veterinary service of the Medio Campidano ASL.

Regarding worker protection, inspectors found that the employer had failed to retain the risk assessment document within the company's operational headquarters. Furthermore, they found that employees had failed to undergo medical surveillance within the legal deadlines and had not received adequate training and information regarding the specific risks associated with their roles.

The situation regarding fire prevention has proven particularly delicate. The Fire Department discovered irregular and dangerous practices in the storage of numerous LPG cylinders. This violation led to a further criminal complaint against the owner and necessitated immediate action to restore safety to the area.

The investigations then extended to the urban planning and landscape aspects, revealing the presence of structures that, from initial investigations, appear to have been built in the absence of permits within an agricultural area subject to stringent landscape restrictions.

Finally, the ASL veterinary staff imposed heavy administrative fines following the discovery of irregularities in the management of the farm's animals. Specifically, sheep were found without the necessary identification systems, a pig farm was never registered, and the competent authorities were not notified of the death or sale of several horses.

Further investigations are currently underway to more fully delineate the irregularities.
