The style is modern and essential, in step with the times. After seven years of work, Villa Verde has its new church , which will be inaugurated on Sunday afternoon, April 30th. A work built from scratch, from scratch, which replaces the previous one, built between the end of the 50s and the beginning of the 60s.

The passage of time had taken its toll, with the July 2002 crash : to yield, during a for a religious function, a portion of plaster. A special day, which the bishop of the diocese of Ales-Terralba and archbishop of Oristano Roberto Carboni also spoke about: «It will be a strong moment for the ecclesial community of Villa Verde, but for the whole diocese. As always, when building a new church there are different wishes and expectations».

Then the archbishop also dwelt on the structure and style: "What the Church asks of us is that new religious buildings be located in the historical context in which we live because faith must be expressed, lived and manifested in the contemporary and current . This is why the new church of Villa Verde has a certainly elegant, sober, dynamic and very modern design, to which the faithful and the inhabitants will gradually get used to».

A church "daughter of its time" , this is the definition of the mayor Marchi, who added: "I think it is a work built in the present but looking to the future, as it should be for a work, which must fulfill his task for a long time. A church where the light dominates, from inside you can glimpse the surrounding landscape, the dawn dominates the white and the basaltic stone of Monte Arci».
