The images from the video surveillance systems of various streets in the Quartiere del Sole were acquired by the Carabinieri immediately after the discovery of the lifeless bodies of the salesman Luigi Gulisano, 79, and his wife Marisa Dessì, 82, but the camera on Via Ghibli – the one that in theory could have observed who, between December 4 and 5, entered or exited the building – may not have been in operation. It is not yet known whether it is a municipal device or a private home, but unfortunately the best positioned one would have been broken or turned off .
Despite no help coming from the electronic eye pointed at via Ghibli – at least according to the first rumours from investigative circles – there still seems to be some optimism among those who, for two weeks now, have been working to try to solve the mystery surrounding the mysterious death of the elderly couple . For now, it seems, the hypothesis of any kind of sudden food poisoning has been reduced to a bare minimum, therefore the trail of a double voluntary homicide continues to emerge.
